31 okt International Forum on Enhancing Youth Participation in Democratic Life, “Youth Dialogue 2023.”
The Youth Regional Centre of Ajara region (Georgia) and the Youth Agency of Georgia, are organising the International Forum on Enhancing Youth Participation in Democratic Life, “Youth Dialogue 2023.” Organised in the framework of the Council of Europe project, Youth revitalising democracy, the forum will take place in Batumi (Georgia) from 19 to 23 November 2023.
The forum is an opportunity to learn, share and promote effective mechanisms and measures to advance youth participation in democratic life at local, regional and national levels. The objectives of the forum are:
- Develop a shared understanding of youth participation, including learning about existing standards at European level
- Discuss and map challenges and barriers hindering youth participation in decision-making
- Strengthen the capacity of youth civil society to support inclusive youth participation
- To share good practices and tools, such as policy measures, capacity building programmes and other initiatives
- Stimulate dialogue between young people and decision makers, and support cooperation and initiative development among participants.
The forum will bring together some 50 participants, 25 from Georgia and 25 from other member states of the Council of Europe.
